This story is unforgettable and exciting. There is so much drama throughout this book it really keeps you interested. There never was a time where I was bored of this book. The novel is sharp in a way that leaves you shocked and bleeding.
Okisha Jackson excels in character, style, and plot. She hits you with so many surprises that I spent the last third of the book re-evaluating what I thought I knew and repeating 'I was not expecting that' in a dazed, but excited tone. The whole novel is excellently done.
Some emotional and thought provoking themes run through the narrative, giving pause for consideration, whilst the author tells a damn fine and addictive story – some lovely little twists and turns take you down many paths until the ultimate and unexpected conclusion.
A definite page turner with some clever construction, some wonderful writing and in the end the only thing that really matters – your heart and being a good person. Highly recommend!

Okisha Jacksin's A Successful FailureThe Complete Series is an a great trilogy with three stories in it Against All Odds, The Betrayal, and More Than a Conqueror, of which I liked the last one the most.
Main character Shauna is a soldier and she finds herself in constant struggle with what the Lord wants for her and what she actually wants to do. She's got a fierce personality and portrays the type of woman that always goes on, stands up and fights. The novel has a spiritual, rather religious focus and, from my point of view, ends up being very inspirational.
The pace is not slow neither fast, I would say it's steady and entertaining. I enjoyed the readind.
I would recommend this novel mainly to women and specially to those seeking for some inspiration in their lives.

A Successful Failure is a powerful and hard-hitting book. It’s about battle, sins, faith, spirituality, struggles, failures and success. Shauna is a strong soldier who faces many difficulties at her work, with her men and her pregnancy. Her relationship with Jesus and his people is very inspiring. There are several incidents in the book which will really make you think and you will be easily engrossed into reading more. Shauna’s painful journey, fighting against betrayal and challenges will motivate you. This book surely did teach me a lot about life and struggles. Truly… an inspiring book. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.
This book tells the story of the life of Okisha Jackson. As the story progres, she tells us different aspects of her life and her successes and mistakes. as always feel the presence of God in her life. She is very spiritual and a believer.
The story is told in a very personal and detailed way. without being exaggerated, I like it that way.I like to read this kind of book and although I am not a spiritual person, I enjoy reading what others feel and think about this topic.

A Successful Failure focuses on the life of Shauna Jackson as she faces different ups and downs in her life. Shauna is portrayed as an independent woman who also show deep emotional bonds to people close to her. She is a typical American who wants to fit in and become popular among her peer. However, she has a gift where she can feel God's presence. Many times she is unable to see the path directed by God as she herself is blinded by the many glitters of city life. But, every time she errs, she acknowledges her mistakes and also the God's presence in her life.
The story is fast paced and moves ahead with more action and little dialogue. It is as if the author is narrating her past as she remembers it and does not try to make it glamorous by adding little details.
Another thing which came out of the writing was that the author was finding different ways of praising the Lord even at the expense of finding one's faults. In fact, the protagonist came out as a humble being despite all the failings that she narrated about herself.
The book is truly inspirational and provides important life lessons that are spiritual in base.

Shauna is a powerfully strong, independent soldier, but more than that she is a Christian woman who hears from God. Despite that, she is someone who needs the companionship of a man, but with a heart for God keeps her in constant battle with the sins of the body and the desire to give God her all. However, that is not all there is to the story as this tale processes many layers not only in faith, but motherhood, adversity from those in the military and much, much more. Inspiring was the simplicity and honesty of Okisha’s writing showing that Christians are human and we make mistakes too. Nevertheless, faith in God conquers all. Here the reader will find the complete trilogy all in one book which is a must read since once started this one won’t be put down. I found this to be thought-provoking and awe-inspiring, as all women attempting to claim their reward in the heavenly realm should read Shauna’s story. Proving one may be Spirit-filled, blood-bought, on fire for God, but the devil is still going to try and steal your soul. Highly recommend with a guarantee this novel will stay with the reader long after the story has ended.
